How did Damian get started with Squared?

Damian heard about Squared Online through a friend who had taken the course, but there were other reasons why he decided to start. He really liked the idea of studying online - his own time pressures meant that a classroom-based course simply wouldn’t work for him. He was also attracted to the unique mixture of guest lectures and virtual group work that Squared offers.

He wanted to improve his digital knowledge and also hoped that starting Squared Online would allow him to explore innovative ways to manage digital change, as well as the leadership qualities that are important in a digital world.

With Squared Online, François sharpened both his digital marketing and digital leadership skills

François began his Squared experience when he was offered it as part of his company’s internal training. It was his first online course, and François was looking forward to starting a new learning experience.

No stranger to marketing, François graduated with a marketing degree from the European Business School and since then he has worked in PR, supporting technology companies. He’s worked closely with the marketing departments of various businesses for 20 years.

Laura finally got the marketing role she wanted with the help of Squared Online

Despite securing two marketing roles after university, Laura was frustrated with how they had turned out. As a marketing intern and then marketing assistant, she had found that her role was mainly offline marketing, involving copywriting and producing company stationery. “I’d had barely any exposure to digital marketing.”

Frustrated with her experience, she took a step away from marketing and into the role of an operations administrator instead.

How did Laura get started with Squared Online?

Following some changes at her company, she began to think about her future and decided that she wanted another shot at marketing. “Some marketing roles came up, but I wasn’t confident about my previous marketing experience and was lacking in terminology and digital marketing knowledge, so was not successful.”

Both Sophie and her start-up HelloGrads are feeling the benefits of Squared Online

Sophie is co-founder and director of HelloGrads, a website which she created to ease the transition between university and working life. As with all start-ups, there's a lot to do. “My responsibilities are, sort of, ‘everything’. This includes running the website, creating marketing strategies, running social media and finding contributors.”

As a recruitment consultant, Sarah wanted to try digital marketing for herself

Sarah hadn’t worked in a marketing position before enrolling on Squared Online. For the past year, she had instead been working as a recruitment consultant in the digital marketing industries.
